Vessel No. 58 is a hand-built ceramic vessel constructed from stoneware with layered reactive slips and oxides. Fired to cone 10 in a soda kiln, the surface developed varied crackling, atmospheric flashing, and mineral-like color transitions ranging from ochre and cream to pale pink and deep iron brown. The shifting surface texture and irregular rim emphasize the effects of heat, sodium vapor, and material interaction during firing.
