Fluted Vessel No. 40 is a hand built stoneware form with deep vertical fluting on the rim that creates shifting rhythms of shadow and compression. Fired at cone 6 oxidation, the green oxide washes and layered slips and glazes produce a palette of patina greens, warm rust, and ochre, that settles into the grooves, while breaks for bare clay along the ridges create contrast and emphasize the form’s vertical movement.
