Vessel No. 35 is a sculptural stoneware form with a compressed neck and swollen body, built through layers of porcelain slip, red iron oxide, reactive slip, and glaze before being fired to cone 10 reduction. The surface moves between matte and glassy passages, with fractured slip, carbon trapping, and flowing glaze creating a landscape of erosion-like textures. Deep iron markings and smoky black pools cut across softer celadon and cream tones, while drips and cracking emphasize the vessel’s sense of movement and material instability shaped by the heat and atmosphere of the kiln.
