This vessel has a rounded, full-bodied form that rises from a narrow foot and gently narrows before opening into an uneven, irregular rim. Its primarily white surface is animated by fractures made with layers of porcelain slip, iron-rich speckling, and layered glazes in turquoise, celadon, cobalt blue, and white. Areas of flowing color move vertically across the form, while scattered dots, crackling, and textured buildup give the surface a sense of depth and movement. The result is a balance between softness and structure, with the bright blue and green passages standing out against the quieter, weathered white ground.
